Liber Pontificalis
anon.
This diaconate occupied the site of the imperial Rostras, between the arch of Septimius Severus and the temple of Saturn, lower down than the Temple of Concord, whose collapse is related here. It existed until about the middle of the sixteenth century. The date and the reasons for its disappearance have still not at all been brought to light.
