Iulius Obsequens

Vasto incendio Romae cum regia quoque ureretur, sacrarium et ex duabus altera laurus ex mediis ignibus inviolatae steterunt.

In a huge fire at Rome, the Regia also was burned, but the sanctuary and one of a pair of laurel trees came out of the midst of the fire unscathed.
